Peter Johnston from Canterbury sets new standards in birthday celebrations !!! He has just hit pay dirt at the superb 17th century grade two listed Boys Hall in Ashford  bringing together family and friends for the mother of all parties. With The Redfords Party Band.

The entertainment began after luncheon with an archery competition in the hotel grounds accompanied by Premier Brass .

After a quick change guests gathered in the vestibule for a Champagne reception …. After being interrogated by over-zealous airport style security guards and the paparazzi eager to grab every opportunity for a compromising picture they were entertained by a caricaturist and a Magician Andrew Paul

Dinner was served in the Conservatory  ….You guessed it … by the most atrocious waiting staff you could ever hope to not meet! Thankfully after a couple of courses some guests had realised it was all part of the fun – provided care of “Spanner in the Works.”and the atmosphere calmed momentarily from hilarious laughter until, The Comedian .. and they were off again.!!!

Now put yourselves in our shoes .. your audience has just been treated to some eight or nine hours of non stop entertainment … have just retired to the bar for a quick drink before they start to get down and dance for another two hours … Worry not!! Peter had it covered ..

The Redfords began their set with a role on the drums for the entrance of one of Peter’s friends dressed in drag to assist him with his first dance …. Peter is not known for his dancing prowess so “Lady Macbeth” was just what the doctor ordered for “Can’t take my eyes off of you” by Andy Williams. 40 minutes and 10 songs later we were all outside to be treated to the biggest and most impressive private choreographed firework display I have ever seen care of Phoenix Fireworks

Peter .. This is probably ..no ..definitely the best birthday party we have ever performed at ..!!
