We arrived at 12.30 and in ample time to set up for the ceremony at 14.00.
The ceremony took place in front of the stage. I was privileged to be present as we were providing the PA and sound for one Katie’s Friends Ellie, who was performing during the signing of the register. Ellie is a member of the Bombshellettes.

I have been to quite a few weddings in my time but nothing quite matched this one… Katie was beautiful, delicately dressed in a white laced wedding gown, Barry and principle male guests were in light grey tails and the brides maids complimented the bridal party dressed in smokey grey knee length dresses .. The civil ceremony was very touching and Ellie was brilliant during the signing… But then .. the registrar introduced us all to and Anglican priest gave her congratulations to the bride and groom and promptly retired.

The ceremony continued with a reading from the New Testament, Christian blessing and message. Then followed the introduction of a Rabbi..The Jewish men among the guests donned their kippahs. Barry’s four cousins manned a Chuppah under which Barry and Katie stood for the concluding part …… the second half of a Jewish wedding the 7 Blessings and traditional breaking of glass. Wow!! Thats what you call a wedding!
