Wedding bands in Kent reschedule 2020
The onset of the Covid-19 virus and strict social lockdown rules has meant that wedding bands in Kent and the South East have had to reschedule all summer weddings. We have rescheduled all 2020 and are now rescheduling early 2021 weddings. The year has been one long task of speaking to brides and wedding venues to rearrange dates right the way through to May 2022.
The Redfords lockdown sessions
We enjoy playing so much just stopping was out of the question. So to keep up to speed we came up with the idea of the Redfords Lockdown Sessions. Requests for songs are being recorded remotely by each of us individually. Matthew, our producer edits them together and puts them on our Facebook page. We have had lots of requests and won’t be able to do all of them but we are working through gradually. Please let us know of any song that is memorable or means something to you and we will record the most popular.
Tribute to NHS workers
As we weren’t able to hold our biannual fundraising showcase due to lockdown. Instead the band decided to pay tribute to the NHS who are workers keeping us safe. After writing new lyrics to “The Best” (Tina Turner) we asked some of the wedding venues and suppliers to send in picture messages of support. To date our version of “The Best” has reached over 100,000 people and helped raise money for NHS Foundation Trust dedicated COVID-19 Just Giving page. We are so thankful that the band and our families all remain healthy, and we can’t wait to see you and your families again soon.
