The Journey of a Musician

Matthew Crozer - Musical Director

For over five years, Matthew was a Major Label recording artist with Universal Records, during which time he recorded two albums in Los Angeles and sold over 30,000 records in the US.

His career saw him embarking on headline and support tours, including notable runs with The Who in the US and Neil Young in the UK, as well as supporting acts like Nickelback, The Wallflowers, Biffy Clyro, Five for Fighting, and Wheatus.

Performing alongside some incredible artists

Matthew’s collaborations span an impressive range of well-known names, including Robbie Williams, Elton John, Holly Valance, Minnie Driver, All Saints, Roger Daltrey, Adam Ant, Martin Fry, and Leo Sayer.

His musical connections even extended to more niche artists like Mike Batt, Dan Fogelberg, and, in a playful twist, The Wombles.

Comedy

A versatile performer, Matthew also spent time playing in a comedy variety band, where he backed comedy legends such as Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Sacha Baron Cohen, Armstrong and Miller, and John Thomson.

Live on Stage

On the live stage, Matthew has graced some of the most iconic venues in the world. From Madison Square Garden and The Hollywood Bowl to LA’s Troubadour and Viper Room, he has performed on stages that many artists only dream of.

His UK performances are equally prestigious, with shows at Glasgow SEC, Birmingham NEC, and several National Trust locations like Cliveden House and Hampton Court, where guests like Steven Spielberg and Andrew Lloyd Webber were in attendance.

On TV

His television appearances have been equally notable. Matthew has performed on prominent shows like the MTV Music Video Awards (twice), Top of the Pops, The National Lottery Show, Richard and Judy, Graham Norton, and a host of US late-night shows.

Stadium Performances

One of the more unique experiences in Matthew’s career was performing pre-match warm-up slots and singing the national anthem at major football stadiums, including Wembley Stadium, Anfield, and the Stadium of Light.
